The Peterson School has been teaching the Trades for over 70 years. We have had both the pleasure and good fortune to have had many students devoted not only to their chosen Trade, but to their experience here at our school.
Chris Thomas was one of these students. Chris studied in our Journeyman Electrician Program. His success and engagement in our program helped lead to his eventual success not only in the classroom, but in the business world as well. From employee to employer Chris shared his knowledge and passion for his craft with colleagues and associates.
Chris’ greatest passion was his family. It is through this scholarship that they hope to keep his legacy alive by providing scholarships to aspiring Electricians. Please use this link to apply:

Scholarship Qualifications:
- Must be enrolled in an approved program or have application in process to accredited electrical school.
- Award will be issued directly to the school.
- One reference from a teacher or manager. (Optional)
- A short essay telling us about yourself and why you want to be an electrician.
-Scholarships are awarded for the spring/summer/fall semester of application year.
- Applicant must be enrolled in classes by June 1, 2026.
- Scholarship funds must be dispersed by July 1, 2026 to approved/accredited program.
- Failure to register for classes by deadline results in forfeiture of scholarship for that year.
- Deadline for applications & supporting documentation are due by April 15th, 2026.
- Funds will be given directly to the school for tuition and fees for the semester; any remaining amount will be given back to the Fund.
- Scholarship dollar amounts vary year to year.
