The Lab Technician’s responsibility is to perform all quality assurance testing necessary to monitor and control the manufacturing process. The Lab Technician must have the confidence and ability to work with minimal supervision and works under direct supervision of the Quality Assurance Supervisor. These duties must be performed in a safe, efficient manner consistent with company goals and objectives
Must have working knowledge of quality assurance operations and procedures
Performs quality assurance tests accurately and exactly by written procedures designed and set up by the Senior Quality Assurance Manager
Records test results accurately and neatly. Enters information into the computer accurately.
Oral and written communication skills including computer and data entry skills
Completes equipment calibrations in prescribed manner. Operates and cleans testing equipment and the lab
Must have a thorough knowledge of non-conforming products and the on-hold procedure.
Working understanding of sanitation and good manufacturing practices
Supports and monitors audit programs with the ability to make corrective actions.
Monitors and audits key process controls
Evaluates incoming raw ingredients. Acquires retained samples if necessary.
