The Preventative Maintenance Technician’s primary focus is to perform, track, and ensure the regular maintenance and upkeep of all general building equipment and systems, as well as all manufacturing equipment and systems. The PM Technician will take ownership of the company PM program, and ensure that all equipment is running optimally and is serviced when necessary. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a can-do attitude, and will always drive to improve effectiveness of equipment operation.
Reports to: Facilities Supervisor/Engineer
Other Key Relationships: Facilities Technicians, Production Managers and Supervisors, Manufacturing Engineers and Technicians
-Schedule and perform preventative maintenance activities on all manufacturing/facilities equipment, systems, and components.
-Assist with determining preventative maintenance procedures for new and existing systems, equipment.
-Operate and sustain CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)
-Assist with troubleshooting and repair on manufacturing equipment
-Assist with troubleshooting and repair of all facilities systems (i.e. HVAC, water, electrical, compressed air, lighting).
-Assist with all general building maintenance (i.e. hanging/mounting, lighting, painting, plastering).
-Able to work in various work environments (i.e. working on ladders, compressed air/gasses, electrical circuits, in small spaces, on rooftop or lifts, working with hazardous chemicals).
-Assist with setting up equipment and assisting with supplying necessary utilities to cells and offices.
-Maintain and ensure a safe work environment, comply with all safety regulations and set standard
-Schedule and assist in performing tests of all critical systems per state and insurance requirements.
-Perform periodic inspections and safety audits to ensure OSHA compliance and determine necessary corrective actions.
-Perform other related duties as assigned.
-Availability after normal work hours for building or equipment emergencies.
-Proven hands-on skills required.
-Proven skills in one or more trades preferred (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.).
-Proficiency with computers required.
-Certifications in related field(s) preferred.
-Associates degree or equivalent in related field preferred.
-Lifting requirements may reach ~50 pounds.
-Strong project management, time management, organizational and interpersonal skills are required.
-Lean manufacturing experience is preferred.
-Knowledge and experience with state and local safety, fire, building, and construction regulations and codes preferred.
-Excellent written and oral communication skills.
-Ability to work with internal and external customers on a regular basis.
-Ability to prioritize, multi-task and work independently.

-Full time, hourly rate $18-$22/hr, some available 1.5x overtime
