Overview

The Maintenance Technician (MT) provides a wide range of simple maintenance support functions on their respective shift and on weekends, with special emphasis on production lines and processing equipment. The primary function of the MT is to support the production operation by maintaining the fryers, performing preventive maintenance, making minor repairs to equipment or the facility, and by supporting the facility Supervisor or Mechanic in making more complex repairs.

Job Responsibilities

Ensure that the fryer oil has been filtered properly, that the oil is clean and that any preventive maintenance tasks required on the fryers have been successfully completed whenever the fryers are being serviced.
Identify minor mechanical or electrical problems during all preventive maintenance functions. All paperwork will be properly completed that pertains to any required maintenance work orders.   
Working form Maintenance Work Orders and/or general direction, the Facility Technician will be responsible for performing minor maintenance repairs and providing minor mechanical and minor electrical support on production and facility equipment as needed. This position will also support sanitation technicians when required
The MT will work on a variety of facility issues from changing light bulbs to solving minor plumbing concerns or to painting.

Will troubleshoot and make minor repairs to equipment utilizing mechanical skills, electrical testing meters so that you can properly diagnose the problem. Dependent upon electrical capabilities the facility Technician will identify and solve electrical problems at various levels using systematic troubleshooting process and repair the root cause problem that prevents the equipment operating as required.  He or she will consult with the Maintenance Manager.
Complete all safety work orders as instructed in a timely fashion.  May participate in the completion of capital projects performing minor functions that maximize the capacity of the facility. 
Plan and complete Maintenance Work Orders in accordance to company guidelines working on safety, preventative and equipment in disrepair. May on occasion work with sanitation personnel to minimize sanitation down time.

Minimum Requirements

•          At least 2 years’ experience as a Maintenance Technician

•          High School (vocational school preferred).

•          Basic Trouble Shooting Skills in both electrical and mechanical disciplines

•          Proven competencies in the area of mechanics & electronics

•          Must be able to push, pull and lift 50-100 pounds
