Must be mature, adaptable and have the ability to work pleasantly and tactfully with fellow employees, faculty, students and staff; able to carry out all the essential duties and responsibilities of a Journeyman Electrician.
This work covers but is not limited to lighting repair and control, power distribution, street lighting, kitchen equipment repair, troubleshooting, control wiring.
Must be willing and able to work overtime and be on-call. Must have High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and (3) years Licensed Journeyman Electrical experience. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and electrical diagrams, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak English . Understand and follow oral and written instructions. Communicate clearly and concisely and be able to relay instructions and directions to others. A valid driver’s license is a condition of initial and continued employment. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Operate assigned equipment and vehicle.
Perform all work associated with the Electrical Journeyman’s License including but not limited to Lighting repair and control, Power distribution, Street Lighting, Kitchen Equipment repair, troubleshooting and control wiring.
Perform all work associated with a Journeyman Electrician.
Respond to Fire Alarms
Respond to Emergency call off hours.
Must be able to perform work independently
Analyze and resolve work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.
Maintain time and production records.
