HVAC Journeyman

As a HVAC Journeyman, you will be responsible for the general maintenance, installations and repairs of HVAC systems for three buildings. The shift schedule consists of Wednesday through Saturday, 6:00am-4:00pm. You will help to operate tests and overhaul a variety of air conditioning, ventilation, refrigeration systems and associated equipment. You will collaborate with the HVAC Supervisor and Journeyman to assist in training on equipment and systems.


  • Perform repairs and maintenance of all heating/cooling and ventilating components common to the building operations.
  • Help operate, install, repair and maintain mechanical equipment such as air handlers, exhaust fans, automatic valves, pneumatic and electrical controls, refrigeration systems, space heating and cooling units.
  • Perform record keeping requirements and written reports as part of a daily routine.
  • Perform tasks within your capability that involve piping systems, motors and controllers, pneumatic systems and chilled water.


  • HVAC Massachusetts State License
  • HVAC, and HVAC controls including trouble shooting experience
  • 7+ years related work experience preferred
  • Proficient with Building Automation Systems, (Siemens preferred)
  • Proficient in brazing, silver solder and performing pipe alterations
  • Experience with computer systems required, including web-based applications and some Microsoft Office applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel
