We seek a dedicated individual who will participate in daily preventative, scheduled, and corrective maintenance activities in a safe, effective, and timely manner related to an electrical generation facility. Specific duties include but not limited to inspection, calibration, troubleshooting and repair of electrical equipment and plant instrumentation. This Energy from Waste facility has equipment from 110V-23KV; most facility equipment is 480V. Facility equipment includes, but is not limited to: hydraulics, fans, pumps, conveyors and refuse cranes.
To be considered for this position you must have a minimum 3 years hands-on experience in the repair and maintenance of high voltage equipment and electronic instrumentation/control systems along with a High School diploma and valid Driver’s License. You must be able to obtain a Massachusetts electrical license and a 1C Hoisting license to operate station vehicles such as forklifts, trucks, and platform lifts. A 2B Hoisting license to operate front end loaders and backhoes is a plus. VFD (Variable Frequency Drives) and Allen Bradley PLC knowledge with RSVIEW and RSLIGIX 5000 is a plus.
Must be able to work overtime in an on-call rotation and as needed including nights, weekends, and holidays with minimum notice. Must be able to work in all locations within the plant, under extremes of hot and cold, and in areas of dust, noise and wet conditions. Must be able to climb onto equipment and work in heights, lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs. and other manual labor to including pushing, pulling, sweeping and shoveling.
