Property Management Co. looking for Skilled Plumber

Fineberg Management, Inc., a property management company based in Brookline, MA, is seeking a full-time, experienced, licensed Plumber. The Plumber will join our maintenance department and work as part of our 10+ member team and report directly to the Foreman and Property Manager.

The candidate will perform plumbing and heating work as assigned as well as annual preventative maintenance for the company’s portfolio of apartment buildings in Brookline and greater Boston (Brighton, Allston and Fenway).

The Plumbing job is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits including a 401(k) plan. Salary will be commensurate with experience. A company truck may be provided.

The candidate should have one of the following licenses:

  • Apprentice Plumber
  • Journeymen Plumber
  • Master Plumber



  • Maintain old plumbing fixtures and modernize when needed.
  • The Plumber must have the ability to work unsupervised.
  • Basic knowledge of trades required to help with repairs and maintenance of apartment units and buildings.
  • Have the ability to perform duties in confined spaces and awkward positions when necessary.
  • Ability to climb stairs and/or ladders, occasionally working at heights above 30 feet. Ability to lift heavy objects.
  • Advise management of need for significant repairs to apartments and plumbing fixtures to ensure physical appearance and safety.
  • Perform maintenance within apartment units and public spaces as assigned and follow the rules and regulations of Fineberg Management as to the entering of the tenant’s apartment.
  • Once assignments are completed, be proactive in seeking additional work and checking in with supervisors and co-workers in need of additional help.
  • Must perform emergency on-call duties as part of rotation on nights and/or weekends as assigned.



  • Previous residential or apartment maintenance is required
  • Experience with steam heat/boiler systems is required
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • A valid driver’s license
  • Reliable transportation for use during the work day
  • Basic computer skills are a plus
