We currently have an opening for a Maintenance Electrician in our Headquarters in Canton, Massachusetts reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor.

*Schedule will be Thu, Fri, Sat and every other Wednesday either 6am to 6pm or 6pm to 6am (Current Shift hours in the busy season are a rotating 36/48 hour).  Must be available for occasional OT.

The employee in this position is responsible to perform a wide variety of industrial electrical tasks to include preventative maintenance, equipment installation, to support the maintenance department, ad hoc repairs of equipment breakdowns, handle general facility maintenance, as well as miscellaneous duties as assigned. 

The position responsibilities include:

-Perform preventive maintenance and upgrades to wiring, conduit and electronic control systems

-Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all types of machinery within buildings whether mechanical or electrical or PLC controlled

-Must have experience in running EMT, Rigid conduit, threading and bending EMT form 1/2" to 2",  (kicks, saddles, 90’s, offsets, etc.).

-Must have experience with repair, installs, replacement, and testing of electrical circuits and equipment. With an extensive understanding of electrical networking and control systems

-Diagnosing malfunctioning systems and components using test equipment such as Voltmeter, Ohmmeter, and Megohmmeter.

-This individual will be responsible for troubleshooting PLC Controlled Equipment. Knowledge of AC Motor Controls, DC Motors and Controls, Variable Frequency Drives, Pneumatic and Hydraulic Controls from wiring diagrams and schematic drawings

-Work on your own and be as professional as possible completing work in a timely fashion while being  thorough enough to complete work orders and maintenance log books

-Perform all duties while maintaining high quality with every day thoughts for Environment, Health and safety 

Your Qualifications:

-High School Degree

-Must be studying or interested in studying to become a licensed journeyman electrician in the state of Massachusetts (or already certified).

-5 years industrial or manufacturing related work experience

-Computer skills (Word, Excel, Email)

-Understanding of PLC controlled production lines

Personal Skills & Requirements

-Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stoop, kneel, climb stairs, ladders and use a scissor-lift. Stand and walk for the majority of an 8-12  hours shift

-Technical understanding

-Effective Communicator Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.

-Creative problem solver

-Capable of working without direct supervision

-Available to cover other shift hours with notice

-Willingness to work Overtime if needed
