Responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of our electrical and mechanical equipment. This position requires the use of appropriate shop/hand tools and analytical devices in inspecting, testing circuits and wiring of electrical equipment for safety and functionality. This individual takes appropriate actions to ensure that completed work meets and/or exceeds all quality and safety requirements
Repairing, replacing and maintaining all Equipment
Cleaning and lubricating machinery, performing basic diagnostic tests, checking performance, and testing damaged machine parts
To determine if major repairs are necessary, In carrying out these tasks, Maintenance workers must follow machine specifications
Adhere to maintenance schedules.
-Preventive maintenance and installation of new equipment
-Perform multi-craft tasks associated with in-plant or facilities maintenance
-Read and interpret standard prints, drawing, and schematics used in building, electrical, electronics, mechanical, metal working
-Identify the tools, equipment, skills used in industrial plumbing, pipefitting, and HVAC.
-Manage preventative maintenance and equipment down time situations according to established procedures.
-Explain and apply the principles of fluid power and hydraulic systems and the associated equipment operations and maintenance
-Install and test electrical wires, circuits, and equipment using the correct equipment, materials, and procedures for safe operation
-Learn the concepts of welding fundamentals, gas. Arc, welding practices, and proper use of equipment
Perform other duties as assigned
A minimum of five years of experience in repairing and troubleshooting production equipment
At least 2-5 years experience as a maintenance mechanic in an industrial facility
Valid 2nd class Fireman's license or higher.
Waste Water Grade 2 license preferred or willingness to acquire on the job
Experience in instrumentation and sensor calibration
Experience working in the food manufacturing industry preferred
Must be able to work in a fast-paced work environment where a broad range of tasks may be required
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Excellent problem-solving skills
Must possess a strong safety ethic
Must be able to work in a cold environment and in confined spaces. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
