Basic Electricity Course #100

This course is designed for:

  • Individuals with no prior experience in the trade or
  • Individuals just starting out in the field

This is a 12 week beginner class that consists of lecture and hands-on lab experience. This course covers the basics of commercial and residential electricity. 

This is not a license course and these hours do not count towards Journeyman Electrical License.

Journeyman Electrician I Prep Course #101A

This course is designed for:

  • Individuals who are currently working in the field that would like to complete the education requirements in order to obtain a Journeyman Electrician License.

This is a 40 week course that consists of the first 300 Electrical Code hours needed to obtain a journeyman electrical license.

Journeyman Electrician II Prep Course #101B

This course is designed for:

  • Individuals who have completed the first 300 Journeyman Electrician I hours.

This is 40 week course that consists of the second 300 Electrical Code hours needed to obtain a Journeyman electrical license.

Master Electrician Prep Course #102

Summary of License Requirements in order to take MA Master Electrician License Exam. (Note: high school diploma or equivalency certification is required by the state).

  1. Journeyman license for at least one year
  2. Master Electrician 150 hour class

This course is designed for:

  • The licensed Journeyman Electrician that has held their license for at least one year.

This is a 20 week course that consists of 150 hours and prepares the student for their Master Electrician license given by the state. 

Systems Technician Class D License Prep Course #103

Summary of License Requirements in order to take MA Class D License Exam: (Note: high school diploma or equivalency certification is required by the state)

  1. Class D License Prep class- 300 hours
  2. 4,000 working hours in the field (in a 2 year timeframe

This course is designed for:

  • Individuals who are currently working in the field that would like to complete the education requirements in order to obtain a Class D license

This course has been carefully designed to focus on various aspects of Access Control- Burglar and Fire Alarm Systems.  The course is ideal for facilities managers, Class D and those in charge of services related to installation of fire alarm systems.
