Complete HVAC Systems Under Pneumatic & DDC Control

This course is designed to provide students with the skills and understanding of HVAC building controls as well as motors & controls of all other systems.

This program is designed to help the HVAC technician, electrician or the facilities maintenance technician understand and troubleshoot all modern state of the art building systems. Students will learn how to troubleshoot all these systems in the Peterson School's fully functional lab. We will teach students how to read and completely understand ladder diagrams. Students will commission an A.C. Drive on a functional fan and control a V.A.V. box. Additionally, during this course we will convert pneumatic controls to a fully functional energy management system [E.M.S.]. Using the E.M.S. system, students will learn how to take advantage of money saving opportunities such as scheduling of units, reset schedules, optimum start, and night setback. After completion of this course students will be able to apply what they have learned to upgrade HVAC systems to the latest in E.M.S. technology.
