Three Combo Program “A”
Offered in Woburn MA, Westwood MA, Worcester MA
This full-time, 20 hr. / week program Includes HVACR Commercial & Industrial Refrigeration Prep, Oil Heat Technicians License Prep, and Gas Heat.
1. HVACR Commercial & Industrial Refrigeration Prep
This course is designed to teach students the fundamentals of commercial and industrial refrigeration within the framework of EPA rules and regulations. Students will learn different types of servicing procedures, states of refrigerant throughout a systems cycle, a review of Ohms Law and electrical circuit drawings. Upon completion, students will receive 70 hours towards the 100 hours required to obtain their Refrigeration State License.
2. Oil Heat Technicians License Prep
This course will provide students with the basic skills of installation, troubleshooting and repair of oil fired heating systems. Our curriculum. is intended to provide information necessary to prepare the student for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Fire Services State Oil Burner technicians license exam.
3. Gas Heat
This course is designed as a troubleshooting gas course that works from the shut-off to the appliance. Students will be able to demonstrate their ability to read wiring diagrams, solve heating problems, replace defective parts and make adjustments on heating equipment. Hands on training and troubleshooting of many of the standard mechanics associated with gas heat will also be reviewed
