Objective: To successfully prepare students with the basic skills of installation, troubleshooting and repair of oil fired heating systems. Students will fulfill the requirements to obtain the State Certificate of Competency as an oil burner technician.
Description: The NEW oil heat lab is equipped with the most modern state-of-the-art oil-fired units for the students to work on. You will be taught by licensed instructors who work in this field on a daily basis and have many years of practical installation and service experience. Includes training for the new CMR 4.00 Oil Burner Regulations.

· Draft and Draft Regulators

· Series and Parallel Circuits
· Heating Systems and Component Parts
· Basic Electricity, System Wiring and Control Systems
· Troubleshooting Equipment
· Zone Valves, Oil Storage
· Maintenance and Tune-Up
· National and Local License Codes
· “No Heat” Call Procedures
