Objective: This is a combined 2A/1C Hoisting License class to prepare candidates for the Massachusetts Class 2A/1C license exam.
Description: Hoisting licenses are required by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Public Safety in order to operate various types of heavy duty equipment in the construction and landscaping industry.
The Class 2A Hoisting License allows the candidate to operate front end loaders, backhoes and excavators. This is the most inclusive license. It covers equipment in the 2A, 2B, & 2C categories.
The Class 1C Hoisting License allows the candidate to operate a hydraulic boom with no cable, forklifts and lulls.
Prerequisites: The Department of Public Safety (D.P.S.) requires the following to be sent to them:
